Buzz,Buzz,Buzz

Did you know that we rely on 1/3 of our food supply from Honey Bees? Over the past few winters more than 25% of the bee population has disappeared and this will greatly impact our natural food supply if something isn't done soon.

Haagen-Dazs is doing something to help and so can you. Visit their site http://www.helpthehoneybees.com/ to learn more about what you can do. You can even create your very own cute little honey bee. In the meantime head on outside and plant some bee friendly plants and your garden can help increase the honey bee population.

Here is a list of some bee friendly plants:
  • Lavender
  • Trumpet Vine (one of my favorites)
  • Sunflowers
  • Rosemary
  • Cone Flowers
  • Jasmine

So the next time you see a Honey Bee in your yard remember that they have an important job and look at them a little bit differently. I know I will. Which plant are you going to plant for our Honey Bees?

You are so creative. It was ironic to read your post today...we just watched The Bee Movie this weekend. :)

Okay, the little bee on that necklace... tooo cute!!!

When the "Bee Movie" came out - Burt's Bees ran a little trailer before the movie telling us all about colony colapse disorder - They were giving away free seeds to plant at their website - it's worth a try to check & see if they're still doing it....

Save the Bees.... Save the Bees... Save the Bees!!

A few things:

1. This necklace is genius. I am SO in love with it.

2. ALL of your designs are gorgeous. So original. I cannot wait to take more time out at your Etsy shop and pick some things I want/need/HAVE TO HAVE.

3. This Honey Baby design has actually birthed in me a quick little devious hope that perhaps my husband will forget something major in the next few days and need to buy me something pretty as an apology. ; ) lol.

4. If I win the SITS contest, it will probably save my husband from my devious plot. I'm just saying. If for no other reason at all, think of my poor Man. ; )
