In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness month, KN Karen Neuburger and Dillard’s department stores nationwide have teamed together to host Pink Parties. For each purchase of KN Karen Neuburger pajamas during the Pink Parties, KN will donate 30 minutes of research to Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The goal is to sponsor a month of breast cancer research to aid in the development of lifesaving treatments and an eventual cure for breast cancer. In addition, to help KN reach the goal of sponsoring a month of research, donations will also be accepted through their Time for Research page HERE.

Typically in the spring and fall we get really serious about trying to de-clutter our house, we have this very strong desire (I have this very strong desire) to try to keep our house organized. We really struggle with keeping things in their place since I run my business out of the house and Will has more toys than one almost 4 year old should have. I have seriously considered hiring someone to help us organize our house since clutter makes me a CRAZY person!
In between the rain we have had lately we made a trip to our local farm market for some pumpkins, it may not be the same as visiting a pumpkin patch but they sure did have a large selection.

When we are away Kane really can be a little devil, I know he misses us but he sure has a funny way of showing it. Last week all in just a few hours he managed to do the following:
Drink Will's chocolate milk (out of a sippy cup too) and spill it all over the carpet
Chew up Will's Pez dispenser
Drool on the couch and leave some nice scratches from his toenail ( make yourself at home Kane!)
Move your dog bed across the room.
There were also a few other things that I just won't even mention since we need to keep things clean!
Even though he can be a little devil when we are away, we still adore this gentle giant. I just wish he could find a different way to show us how much he loves us!

I’m a first time mom to a one-year-old who just discovered feet stomping, and have been married to my loving husband for three years.
How did you start blogging?
While I was on maternity leave, I found myself unable to sleep, so I turned to surfing the internet. Once there, I ‘discovered’ the secret world of Mommy Bloggers and never looked back!
What is your parenting philosophy?
My parenting philosophy? Well, I don’t have a philosophy per se, but I do have a goal: make sure my Monkey is well-fed, loved, safe, and turns into a kind, loving, active person when he grows up.

My cell phone and my wallet. And even if you managed to find me without my wallet, you still wouldn’t find me without my cell. It’s like an extra body part, at this point.

Reading: I looove to read. If there’s printing on it, I’ll read it: magazines, food boxes, street signs, prescription bottles… When I do have a real moment to enjoy a book, I usually choose books from best seller lists, biographies, plays, and classics. I’m also trying to read my way through the Literary Canon. And then there’s chick lit! I can’t help but love it!

Halloween hasn't even arrived yet and so many of my customers are already starting their Holiday shopping. I have to admit it sneaks up on me every year but this year I am going to start it a bit sooner.

These pics are from a few weeks ago when we visited The Henry Ford, it was a very warm day and the gardens were still beautiful. We have gone from steamy hot weather to chilly late fall weather.... I am just not ready for the cold weather just yet.
What is the weather like in your neck of the woods?
We were running some errands and Will spotted some beads he said he had to have, you see he needed to make some necklaces for his girls, for me and of course for his Dad. I have to admit I haven't seen beads shaped like animals, so these are new for me.
