To only be a Cat...

Sometimes I think about how nice it would be to be a Cat. I mean what a leisure life it would be, if only I could get this relaxed in the middle of the day. We rescued our kitty about year ago and he has become quite a King in our house.

A. When I was a kid I loved school, and the start of a new year was very exciting for me.

It is nothing ordinary to Will, in fact I think it is quite extraordinary. On any given day you can find him playing with his Lego. I think right now if he were stranded on a desert island with just Lego he would be just fine.

Same chair just a big boy now! I can't believe Will is starting Kindergarten in just a few weeks. It is bittersweet as I am so excited to see him learn new things but a bit sad that my little guy is going to be gone all day. I worry that he will be able to handle such a long day, but some how I know he will manage just fine with out me. When I was a kid for the most part I loved school, I loved the start of a new year and the shiny new school supplies. I hope he skips to school as I did. But for now we are going to try and savor what is left of our summer!

Recently my favorite hairspray was discontinued and so once again the quest began for some good hairspray. I grabbed a bottle of the Luxurious Volume Extra Hold Hairspray by John Frieda at Target and I have to say I am in love. The best part is that it is under $6 for a bottle and has a great hold and works well as a workable hairspray. This hairspray also prompted me to try the Luxurious Volume Shampoo and Conditioner and both give you nice volume, more volume than I have ever had with other products. I have tried so many volumizing products and none of them live up to the claims. The more I use these products the more I like them. Now my hope these aren't ever discontinued.

I am pretty sure something nibbled on this daisy... but I love that it isn't perfect. My daisies have taken over my flower garden but that is ok with me. I actually don't have a lot of white stuff...which surprised me.

Make a Lightsaber {Super Easy}

Will loves Star Wars and when my brother gave me this idea I had to make it. This couldn't be more simple!

Supplies:

skinny noodle
duct tape
knife to cut in half
electrical tape (optional)

All you need to do is cut a skinny noodle in half and then wrap the bottom edges with duct tape, if you want to get really fancy finish it off with some black electrical tape too. You end up getting two noodles out of it so this entire project is just a few dollars and brings hours of enjoyment!

Coffee or Chocolate

If you had to give up Coffee or Chocolate for one year which would you give up?

Hands down it would be chocolate for me, I just couldn't survive with out coffee. I love my coffee, the stronger the better but I do take cream in my coffee.

True Lemon Raspberry Lemonade I love you!

I think I just may be addicted to the True Lemon Raspberry Lemonade. I was at the grocery store last week and picked up a few packs and usually I don't like this kind of stuff but thought I would try it. What I love about it is that it is naturally sweetened with Stevia, low calorie and super yummy. I love water by itself but this takes it to a whole new level and the best part is that they come in packs that you can just add to a bottle of water. My son doesn't like just water but loves this and hubby loves it too. Most water enhancers have artificial sweeteners which I avoid. Have you tried it?

Grand Haven!

Last weekend we spent a long weekend in Grand Haven. We had so much fun, biking, swimming and eating a lot of ice cream. This was the first time for us and we hope to visit again soon. Family vacations are just never long enough are they?
