Aloha Friday....

This picture was taken in June of 2006. Will was just around 7 months old, and I have on my favorite jean jacket which leads to my question.
Question: What is the oldest item in your closet that you still wear and hope to wear forever???
Mine clearly is this jean jacket, I have had it for about 6 years, which is a very long time for me and I still love it. Even though I have about 5 other jean jackets this is by far my favorite, I think I got my money's worth on this purchase!

This just in new lower case font available

I have been searching for a lowercase font for sometime now and finally found one that I LOVE! I hope you like it too! All three pieces have just been added to my shop HERE.
Do you like it? I will continue to add more pieces but had to add these, I am having too much fun with my new lower case stamps!
A Thousand Words Thursday: Attack of the...

Attack of the Beanie Babies! Once upon a time, I collected A LOT of Beanie Babies. Somehow I got it in my head that I could get rich down the road, fat chance! I will say they are making Will very happy. I have a huge Rubbermaid bin filled to the top with them and this is just a fraction of what is in the bin(please do not remind me how much money I wasted on these silly things, and don't laugh when I tell you a few have those special tag covers on them.... cough, cough Princes Diana Beanie)
I will say though that seeing Will enjoy them is priceless, he takes each and every one of them to bed with him every night and has most of the names memorized.
Did you ever collect Beanie Babies??
p.s. There is a site that tells you if yours are worth any money and I gave up looking since most of mine are worth about $2 each.

Featured Reader: Let me introduce you to...
Hello friends Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend! I spent most of Saturday working on Father's Day orders and then Sunday cleaning. Do you ever clean and then wonder why it doesn't look like you cleaned.... oh yeah I have a 3.5 year old. I have also been watching the entire first season of True Blood and am hooked, I have stayed up way to late since I just can't get enough! Now on to my featured reader of the week!
I have the pleasure of introducing you the very popular Tiaras and Tantrums. There are so many things I love about Tiaras and Tantrums, but here are just a few. I love the photos of her family, the fashion posts of course, and the photos that give you a peek into her house, but that is just the tip of the iceberg. We also happen to watch most of the same tv shows. Go ahead grab your beverage of choice and get to know my friend Tiaras and Tantrums.
Blog Name:
Tiaras & Tantrums
How did you start blogging?
A friend of mine started a blog and sent me the link. That was the first blog I read and then I just ventured out and started to read more and more blogs and was pretty much instantly addicted. I started my own blog about 6 months later.
If you are a parent do you have a parenting philosophy?
Motherhood is all encompassing. It is for me, anyway. When my husband and I decided to have children, I became a stay-at-home mom - the stereotypical caregiver, counselor, educator, cook, maid, coach, nurse, disciplinarian, mediator, chauffeur, arts and crafts director and play pal. I chose this path and I look back with heart-swelling pride at the roller coaster ride of it all. I’m a blessed mother who can run a family and still manage to connect with the woman inside.
Day job:
SAHM
Favorite Stuff:
Music: Pop
Food: Love veggies and Italian and loads of junk food!
Tv/ Movies: (I watch way too much television) Weeds, The Tudors, CSI, Lost, One Tree Hill, Brotherhood, Secret Diary of a Call Girl, Californication, Entourage, True Blood, Big Love, Survivor & Amazing Race (I so want to do this!)
Reading: I don’t really have time to read books too much anymore. But I love to read blogs and magazines.
If you had to wear a T-shirt with your favorite saying on it what would it be?
“Don’t Let The Tiara Fool You!”
Favorite stores to shop at?
I love Forever 21 and H&M for myself, will I ever stop shopping in the jr sections??
If you could trade with a blogger for the day who would it be?
Dooce.com only for the money though! Hee hee
I love to bake and eat what I bake even more. I love to scrapbook and feed my addiction to paper. I love to spend time in the sun, which doesn’t happen very often in this city. And I love to be with my kids, I really do!
Now be sure to leave some comment love for Tiaras & Tantrums

Tori is a busy WAHM of two girls and you have to visit her blog you will find it to be good for the mind, body and soul! I also love Tori's food so much that I just couldn't wait to feature her review and giveaway so after reading her interview please head HERE and enter for a chance to win a Super Sampler Set. Did I already say that I/we are in love with Zoe foods. Now go grab your beverage of choice and get to know my friend Tori.
Name:
Tori of Mompreneur Musings: The Quest For Balance
Family:
One amazingly supportive husband who has watched me start my com
pany, Zoe Foods, two intelligently silly girls ages five and six-and-a-half who keep us on our toes, and one big, cuddly dog who is always at my side.
How did you start blogging?
I started blogging for Zoe Foods so that my company’s customers could get to know me as the company’s founder. The funny thing is that I’ve come to the point that I love writing and at this point, almost prefer working on my blog more than my business! From this discovery, I am busy
working on launching a new business part-time!
If you are a parent do you have a parenting philosophy?
I feel like I have four kids: my two girls obviously, our family’s dog who has had all sorts of medical challenges which he has overcome, and my company Zoe Foods, otherwise known as my brain child. My philosophy is eerily similar for all, love and nurture them, treat them with respect, and whoever screams the loudest will be most likely to get my attention in the moment ;-)
You will never find me without......
I am embarrassed to say… my Iphone. It has become the backup hard drive to my brain and the way to communicate with everyone I know whether by phone, email, text, Facebook, or Twitter!
Day job:
I am a mom, wife, daughter, and friend, and last but not least, an
entrepreneur. I started Zoe Foods because I've always been passionate about making a difference in people's lives and thought that a natural foods company would be the perfec
t way to do just that. My company makes Zoe’s Granolas and Z
oe’s Bars that taste so great you won’t believe that they’re really
good for you (check out the nutrition facts). I started my blog because juggling all of my different roles in life is out of control, and I'm just beginning to see the comedy in it all. S
o please join me on my journey and share your thoughts and experiences, and together we might just make someone smile.
Favorite Stuff:
Music: Just about anything Reggae, Mozart, and Jack Johnson (how’s that for a mix!)
Food: Zoe’s Granolas for breakfast, and Zoe’s Bars for a snack (need you ask?)
Tv/ Movies: Waking Ned Devine, Private Practice, and Eli Stone
Reading: Authors – Ayn Rand & Jodi Piccoult. Books: Wild Swans: Three Daughters of China, by Jung Chang, and West With The Night, by Beryl Markham.
If you had to wear a T-shirt with your favorite saying on it what would it be?
Keep dreaming, keep believing, and keep achieving!
Favorite stores to shop at: Amazon and little local boutiques for clothes
If you could trade with a blogger for the day who would it be?
Tough choice between being influential and a journalist, or just downright funny. For the first, I’d choose Arianna Huffington (http://www.huffingtonpost.com), and for the latter, Anna Lefler (http://lifejustkeepsgettingweirder.blogspot.com/).

Thousand Words Thursday: Hockey Playoffs

My brother a.k.a. Uncle Mark took some time out to teach Will how to play hockey. I love the expression on Will's face in the second picture.
Living just outside of Detroit people are just crazy about the Red Wings being in the playoffs. I had no idea they were even in the playoffs and had to ask my hubby who they were playing against (the Penguins right?). People in the Detroit area are huge, huge fans you see so many people walking around town wearing their Red Wings T-shirts, hats you name it. It truly is hockey fever right now, when the game is on people are glued to their TVs and the sports bars are packed!
So tell me are you rooting for the Red Wings or Penguins?
Are you watching the playoffs or are you like me and have no interest. I do want the Red Wings to win though!

Wordful/Wordless Wednesday: The Apprentice

I think I have a little apprentice in training! Often when I am working Will wants to see what I am doing and loves to get his hands on my hammers and stampes! You can see in the first picture he does watch what I do (don't tell him he is using the wrong hammer but he isn't allowed to use my heavy hammer) I think his technique is pretty good! Sometimes it takes a bit longer to complete my work but I think it is important to stop and take the time to answer the little guys questions! Tuesday, June 2, 2009
