Tour of the Henry Ford Estate

Last week we took a tour of The Henry Ford Estate, former home of Henry and Clara Ford. Sadly the Henry Ford Estate will be closing at the end of the year for restoration and will not reopen for at least 2-3 years. The restaurant will not reopen and they will no longer hold wedding ceremonies. Almost 13 years ago we had our wedding ceremony at the Henry Ford Estate and it is truly a beautiful place to get married. So until it closes we will be visiting the grounds and restaurant as often as possible.

The Henry Ford Estate, former home of Henry Ford is just one of the many historical sites we have in Dearborn, The grounds are beautiful and the spring blooms have SPRUNG. We love wandering around the grounds and peeking at their gardens. We climbed up their stone staircase, and I daydream about what it might have been like to live in a mansion like this. We are so sad that the Estate will be closing for 3 years for renovation and the restaurant will not be reopening. We plan on visiting as much as we can until they close!

Will watching Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs at the IMAX. He never took the glasses off and we stayed until the credits were over, you could say he enjoyed the movie.

Does anyone have any idea what kind of bird that is? I have never seen a bird like this in Michigan.

This picture was taken at The Henry Ford Estate. They have more Lilacs than you can imagine and in this picture Will is following behind my Dad down the path of Lilacs. The aroma was amazing!
