Eat, Sleep, Boat, Walk...

Kane is a simple dog, give him a boat ride and life is all good. He actually asks for boat rides and goes down on the boat and waits until someone will take him. Sometimes I wish I had the life of this dog! Eat, sleep, boat and walk that is all he needs.

Sometimes you really are a little devil..

When we are away Kane really can be a little devil, I know he misses us but he sure has a funny way of showing it. Last week all in just a few hours he managed to do the following:

  • Drink Will's chocolate milk (out of a sippy cup too) and spill it all over the carpet
  • Chew up Will's Pez dispenser
  • Drool on the couch and leave some nice scratches from his toenail ( make yourself at home Kane!)
  • Move your dog bed across the room.
There were also a few other things that I just won't even mention since we need to keep things clean!

Even though he can be a little devil when we are away, we still adore this gentle giant. I just wish he could find a different way to show us how much he loves us!

Happy Wednesday!

The Featured group for March is......

MI-Regap!!! MI-Regap is a wonderful group dedicated to rescuing Greyhounds. Several years ago we lost our Dalmatian to cancer and decided that we really wanted to rescue a greyhound. We looked at many different rescue groups but were so impressed with the dedication this group had to finding good homes for their dogs. They spent a lot of care interviewing us to make sure we would provide a good home for Kane. I was always impressed with the greyhound breed and the more I learned about how cruel their treatment was during the racing days the more I realized we had to rescue a greyhound. Kane really is a gentle giant! He does sleep a lot but has become such an important part of our family, just make sure you aren't sitting on his bed because that he doesn't share with anyone.
Please take a look at MI-Regaps website http://rescuedgreyhounds.com/to see more about the wonderful work they do.
