It is hard to believe that trench coats were originally created in the 1900's for British and French soldiers to wear during the first World War. A piece of clothing that had an original purpose of keeping soldiers dry and warm has now become a essential staple for women and is even seen on some of the hottest fashion runways.

A trench coat can take you from day to night and is very versatile. It can be worn with jeans, with a business suit and even over a cocktail dress. You can select a simple classic black, double breasted, single breasted, belted, cropped, long or a vibrant color. You can stick with a classic trench or a trendy one, just pair it with a pair of well cut jeans, sunglasses and a warm weather scarf and you will have yourself some celebrity style.
