Product Junkie Approved! Win a isABelt!!!

Do you have the same problem I do???? Back gap? It isn't my intention to give everyone a peep show of my pretty undies! Now that I have discovered the isABelt the peep shows are over. This is such an amazing product. The isABelt is clear, almost invisible and doesn't give you a bump in the front from a belt buckle, oh and did I mention it takes care of my back gap problem! The isABElt has been featured at Real Simple magazine, Glamour, People, The Today Show and many, many more! Two of my very lucky readers will each receive one of these amazing belts!

Read more about this fab product:
isABelt is the must-have fashion accessory for all women. It is virtually invisible, fully adjustable belt that keeps your outfit looking fantastic by keeping your pants in place. The isABelt is 1/2 inch wide, strong and flexible belt that virtually disappears when worn.

What makes the isABelt so versatile is that it is fully adjustable so it's perfect if you are trying to lose weight or even recently pregnant. (isABelt where were you when I was pregnant!) One of the other fabulous things about the isABelt is that you don't have any "Belt Bulge" when wearing longer tops.

I don't know about you but I wear a belt every day and like the security that a belt gives you but not the extra bulk. isABelt is the perfect solution for my fashion dilemma, the back gap and undie peep show.

There are also several other isABelts available:
1. isABelt+
2.isABelt Jr.
3.hisABelt (that is right just for men or it can be unisex)
4. ?????????????????

Hand Stamped Necklace .....Introducing my first Affirmation necklace and WE HAVE A WINNER!

As part of my New Year's Resolutions I stated that I wanted to practice positive affirmations. An affirmation is a statement of truth and when used properly can reshape your thinking.

I decided to create a line of positive affirmation jewelry and the "Faith Not Fear" is a piece I designed for myself but also wanted to offer it for sale. To me "Faith Not Fear" doesn't have to be religion based but can be a reminder to have faith and not allow your fear to consume you. Fear can be nasty and can eat you alive if you allow it to. I have Faith that everything has a reason and a purpose!

Do you have a favorite Affirmation to share?

Winner, Winner!!!!! My Featured Reader winner for a custom piece from my shop is Toni from A Daily Dose of Toni. Toni please email me with the piece you would like out of my shop.

Would you like to be one of my Featured Readers? Email me at klacustomcreations@comcast.net Congratulations Toni!!!!

How did you start blogging?

I started it as a portfolio of my work, then I added personal tidbits about our life and now it serves for work, family, promotion of handmade artists and a catalog of upcoming pieces for Kiss My Style.

If you are a parent do you have a parenting philosophy?

We teach Hannah manners, sign language, kindness, love, affection & compassion. We believe in discipline, but its very laid back. We say “no” do time outs and explain, we always ask for an apology & a kiss to make up. So far, we have lucked out and she has taken to all that we teach including our love of arts, crafts and music – what a little dancer!

You will never find me without...... my knitting needles & a skein of yarn and lip gloss

Day job:

I own Kiss My Style and design pieces for it. It currently is an online boutique that over 30 artisans sell their handmade pieces. 100% handmade – 100% fabulous! I am always looking for new artists to sell & I currently have been expanding my line into wholesale!

Favorite Stuff: Hannah’s laughs, fiber, yarn, music, the outdoors and family time.

Music: techno, spa, classical, classic rock
Food: Italian & Chinese
Tv/ Movies: True Romance, CSI LV, The Office, How I met your mother, The Mentalist
Reading: I love witchy girl humor like Jen Lancaster

If you had to wear a T-shirt with your favorite saying on it what would it be?

Kiss My Style

I love the name of my business b/c it has attitude while being cute at the same time – plus everyone always asks what it means. lol

Favorite stores to shop at:
Etsy, mom & pop shop’s and then Gap & Jcrew – I’m 5’11 and they have long lengths in classic styles that last forever!

Misc stuff from Megan:

I could knit anywhere at any time. I love fabric. Libraries smell good and the outdoors makes me happy. I love my family & my friends and I hope to give Hannah a brother. J

Product Junkie Approved: So soft!

Don't get me wrong I love moisturizers that smell wonderful but I also like a moisturizer that is fragrance free and won't interfere with my perfume. The Aveeno Active Naturals Daily Moisturizing is just that, fragrance free and really does moisturize dry skin. The Aveeno Active Naturals is also available at just about every drugstore and is inexpensive. This is a great moisturizer to keep on hand for everyday use.

Do you have a favorite moisturizer?

La Dolce Vita

Happy New Year friends! Can you believe it is 2009? I hope everyone is off to a fabulous 2009 and I wish all a very prosperous year! I wonder how long I will write 2008 on my checks?

I am very excited to introduce you to my first Featured Reader of 2009!!!!! Let me introduce you to Suzana of Firefly. Suzana is one of my new bloggy friends and we became fast friends right from the start. Suzana blogs about fantastic food, shopping, design and much much more, you are sure to find something simply fabulous at her site. Please grab a cup of joe or beverage of choice and get to know my friend Suzana.

Name:

Suzana or better known as Firefly from firefly-shop.org

Family:

You mean my Toddlers and me? Just joking, Hubby and I have been together for 6 wonderful years, married for the last 4. We have one beautiful daughter, Princess who is 3.5 and a major drama princess she is. Days are never boring with her.

How did you start blogging?

Mom Blogs - Firefly-Shop

I started blogging back in September 2008. Before that (2 years ago) I had a book club blog. It lasted for 3 months. This time I wanted to do a mix of things. About our life and cute little things we do.

Do you have a parenting philosophy?

My parenting philosophy would be relaxed. I don’t obsess about things that are not worth it. Taking one day at a time. Provide a fun childhood for my daughter or at least trying to. As for blogging I believe in writing what you feel the most comfortable with.

You will never find me without......

Coffee! Yes I seem to have a cup of coffee all the time in hand or nearby. Other than that I can’t go out without a purse. In the purse it’s always has my wallet, keys, cell phone, hand lotion, lip gloss, and a Starbucks card.

Day job:

As of March of 2005 I’m a SAHM and I love it. I also just opened up a shop at Etsy, Firefly Shop. I will be selling anything knitted, sewn and painted glass. Of course there are days when I feel like going back into the outside of home working world, but that feeling never lasts for long. It’s like been there done that! I’m happy to be with my little girl.

Favorite Stuff:

Music: I’m sort of into rock and punk. Yes I know what you’re thinking…and no; no piercings other than ears, no hair in colors (although that one time it was strawberry red).

Food: I love to cook and try new things. Food is awesome, and if I had it my way I would live on Sushi, Italian and spicy food!

Tv/ Movies: Don’t laugh but one of my all time favorite movies is The Interview With The Vampire oh yes, and of course any movie with Christian Bale (the Batman). As for TV, I watch reality TV every chance I get.

Reading: I love to read and write short stories and books (not that I published anything YET) I went through my craze of Steven King’s books loved everything that man has ever written. And now every once in a while I’ll pick up his books and read them again. I also like crime novels and chick lit. I could read Confession’s of a Shopaholic million times and always find humor and reality in it.

If you had to wear a T-shirt with your favorite saying on it what would it be?

“I Am Me So Deal With It” it’s so true I always try to be myself and if people like it awesome if not well too bad for them (they are missing out).

Favorite stores to shop at?

Target, Hobby Lobby, Marshals, TJ Max, Organic food stores, and occasional trip to Dollar Store and Big Lots (ppsssttt about this)

Other good stuff from Suzana:

Enjoy life and don’t let anyone or anything to bring you down. Help others in need as you would want others to help you if you needed it. Take care of you and your family first and foremost, snap lots of pictures of your kids because they grow up so fast!
A special thank you to Suzana for allowing us a peek into her world! If you would like to be a Featured Reader please send me an email at klacustomcreations@comcast.net

New Year's Resolutions

I have to admit I don't usually do New Year's Resolutions but felt this year is a great year to kick it off!

1. Live in the moment. I can hardly believe Will is already 3 and want to cherish every moment with my kiddo!

2. Start exercising again! I need to clean off the treadmil and start using our new Wii Fit!

3. Get organized! In my business and our house. Order brings calmness to me!

4. Spend less time on the computer (I am a bit addicted and will never part with my lap top but sometimes my surfing is mindless) quality over quantity

5. Practice affirmations- More positive thoughts, there will be more to come on this throughout the year! You really are what you think!

Do you have any New Year's Resolutions????

Product Junkie Approved: Your cuticle's will thank you!

It is that time of year, dry hands and cuticles that are just crying for some relief. Did you know to have beautiful finger nails it all starts with your cuticles! Your cuticles need to be healthy for your nails to grow properly. A fabulous product that I have used for years is the Solar Oil nail conditioner by Creative Nail Design. Solar Oil contains almond oil and is not only great for your nails but also smells wonderful. Just apply a few times a day and your cuticles will thank you. You can pick up Solar Oil at most drug stores but can also be found here.

One more tip, never cut your cuticles, just push them back either with your towel after a shower or with a cuticle pusher.

Do you have a favorite nail product that the Product Junkie should try?
