ooey, gooey, good.....

Yum!

On Sunday I had a fair amount of work to do but Will and I took a break to bake some chocolate chip cookies. Chocolate Chip Cookies are so good when they are still warm.....ooey, gooey, good! I have to admit when baking chocolate chip cookies I almost always use the Ghirardelli Chocolate Chip mix, to me they are just as good as baking from scratch!

When you bake cookies do you make them from scratch?

Below are a few new necklaces that will be added to the shop, the tags aren't new just a fun batch I created for a customer.

Feel Good Sunday: Will you jump with me?

Proud Spirit Jumper

Several weeks ago I met Meaghan on Twitter and am so glad I did. I am now a proud Spirit Jumper!! You ask what is a Spirit Jumper? Spirit Jump is a program that directly connects a gift giver with a person battling cancer. It was founded in November, 2008 by two young women who have both battled cancer.

Meaghan is a cancer survivor. She was diagnosed with end stage cancer with a 20% chance of survival in February of 2007. Like many cancer patients she experienced the horrors of chemotherapy, radiation and numerous surgeries. Today Meaghan is CANCER FREE and is thankful for all of the support of her family and friends who stood by her side through her cancer fight.

Stacy is currently fighting Stage IV Melanoma. Diagnosed, October, 2007, Stacy is still undergoing treatment and fighting this horrible battle.

Spirit Jump

So how can you jump?

It is really very simple you can send a gift or even a card to lift the spirits of a person in need. All you do is email Spirit Jump at spiritjumper@spiritjump.com and you will be connected with a person in need of some real spirit jumping. Since I joined I have jumped three people and I have to tell you it feels so good to know that something so small may just lift someone elses spirits!

I encourage you to join me! Will you jump with me? Please visit the Spirit Jump site HERE. and also follow them on Twitter @spiritjump

Feel Good Sunday: Go Fetch... Please!

I love when I see Will playing with Kane, the poor kid tries to get Kane to play with his toys but Kane never has any interest, not even a little. The other day I walked into the room and this is what I saw.

I hope Will and Kane are friends Fur-ever (sorry had to do it!)

Feel Good Sunday...

The above pictures are from Will's Valentine's Day party and these are his "girls" as he refers to them, I don't think he would have it any other way! Boy does he love his girls!

For Valentine's Day we had some heart shaped pizza's, wine and watched the Curious George movie, which I can't complain about since it was loaded with Jack Johnson tunes!

Look what I got for V-Day!

Are you wondering what it is? It is a Belkin CushTop Laptop cushion for your lap top! I just love it, it puts your laptop in just the right position. I didn't even know they existed! To me this is a gift from the heart since hubby actually knows how much I love my laptop! We now get practical gifts for each other and hubby says he can't buy me jewelry since I make it!

What did you do for Valentine's Day??

P.S. Don't forget to enter in my contest for a set of Mary Kay Satin Hands, a $30 value. Enter here.

Feel Good Sunday: Good things and some Jack Johnson

This little Blessed dish is one of my "Good Things" I had this dish custom made over at
Mud Hutt, I also picked one up for my Mom as a Christmas gift. Isn't it just too cute??

Before I go to bed I take all of my jewelry off and place it on my little Blessed dish. I think it is a good reminder of how Blessed I am and also a safe place for my jewelry. I can not sleep with jewelry on.

I also wanted to share one of my favorite artists Jack Johnson, I could listen to his music over and over again and not grow tired. Originally Jack was a professional surfer and after an accident started writing songs while recovering, becoming a professional singer wasn't his original intention, you see sometimes things do happen for a reason.

For your listening enjoyment:

Feel Good Sunday

I have decided that on Sundays I am going to post something that will make you feel good. It may be something that will make you laugh or something that will simply just make you just feel good all over. I am starting with a e-mail a friend sent me about how kids define Love. I hope you enjoy it. If you would like to leave a feel good message please do so in my comments. I heart comments.

WHAT LOVE MEANS TO CHILDREN AGE 4 TO 8 YEARS OLD

Slow down for three minutes to read this. It is so worth it.
Touching words from the mouths of babes.

What does 'Love' mean?

A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds, 'What does 'love' mean?' The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined.

See what you think: 'When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love.' Rebecca- age 8

'When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You just know that your name is safe in their mouth.' Billy - age 4

'Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other.' Karl - age 5

'Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs.' Chrissy - age 6

'Love is what makes you smile when you're tired.' Terri - age 4

'Love is when my Mummy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK.' Danny - age 7

'Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My Mummy and Daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss' Emily - age 8

'Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen.' Bobby - age 7

'If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate,' Nikka - age 6

'Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, and then he wears it everyday.' Noelle - age 7

'Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well.' Tommy - age 6

'During my piano recital, I was on a stage and I was scared. I looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and smiling. He was the only one doing that. I wasn't scared anymore.' Cindy - age 8

'My Mummy loves me more than anybody. You don't see anyone else kissing me to sleep at night.' Clare - age 6

'Love is when Mummy gives Daddy the best piece of chicken.' Elaine - age 5

'Love is when Mummy sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer than Robert Redford.' Chris - age 7

'Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day' Mary Ann - age 4

'I know my older sister loves me because she gives me all her old clothes and has to go out and buy new ones.' Lauren - age 4

'When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and little stars come out of you.' (what an image) Karen - age 7

'Love is when Mummy sees Daddy on the toilet and she doesn't think it's gross.' Mark - age 6

'You really shouldn't say 'I love you' unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget.' Jessica - age 8

And the final one -- Author and lecturer Leo Buscaglia once talked about a contest he was asked to judge. The purpose of the contest was to find the most caring child.

The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife.

Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there. When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said, 'Nothing, I just helped him cry.'
