Meckley's Flavor Fruit Farm

We visited Meckley's Flavor Fruit Farm and had some yummy treats, this year they had pumpkin donuts with cream cheese frosting and they were simply deliecious. I love this time of year because it means the Cider Mills are open!

Have you been to the Cider Mill yet?

Will you be wearing Jeggings this fall?

Have you noticed the fashion industry is really pushing leggings in stores or jeggings which are denim leggings. I remember wearing leggings back in the 80's and will admit I am not totally comfortable in them. I do however like to wear leggings under dresses, but do not think I could pull this look off.

Do you wear leggings or better yet jeggings?

Fashion Friday: Ruffles, Ruffles and more Ruffles

Fashion designers have introduced ruffles to us in past seasons but this season they are hotter and larger than ever. I like to be fashionable without being a slave to the current trends because to me you have to be comfortable in what you are wearing and it has to make you feel good. You can make a statement with some oversized ruffles or go the safer more simple route. Whichever you chose they add a feminine look to any outfit. With mens-wear being a big trend this season also a touch of ruffle will soften the look and you will remain looking feminine.

Ruffles can be worn for all occasions whether for work, business casual, running errands or for a cocktail party. You can wear a ruffled blouse under a jacket, you can select a jacket with ruffles, a cardigan sweater with a touch of ruffle, pair a ruffled blouse w/ a vest for a trendy mens-wear look or wear a ruffled halter with an A line skirt for your evening look.

We should never be slaves to the trends and fashion should allow us comfort, style and verstality.

Are you a ruffle gal? If you are which is your favorite?

A day at the Cider Mill/Farm

We spent the weekend at the Lake and about 15 minutes away there is a Cider Mill/ Farm and it has a petting farm and a lot of activities for the kids. Will and his Cousin had a blast!

Pumpkins Galore!

And more pumpkins!

In case you were wondering this is Pickles the pot belly pig, well that is what Will named her. Don't even ask what she did that Will decided to announce to everyone.

Check out Pickles belly, it is just too cute!

Will loved Pickles but said she was dirty!

I love going to the Cider Mill it just screams that Fall has arrived. Have you been to the Cider Mill? My favorite thing isn't the cider it is the cinnamon sugar donuts and especially when they are still warm, they just aren't good the next day so you better just eat them all up.

Happy Fall!!!

Be sure to visit tomorrow for Wordless Wednesday and on check back on Thursday so you can vote on what I shoud dress up for Halloween, I will reveal what Will would like me to be.
