When I was a kid my Mom had to basically camp out at Toys R Us to get me a Cabbage Patch Doll. I had one just like the above picture. I saw on the news that they are being released this summer again.What was that one childhood toy that you had to have and did you get it?
P.S. One toy I never got was Barbie high heels.... my Mom said they were too dangerous maybe this is why I like shoes so much.

I don't remember a had to have toy but I loved my Rainbow Brite doll
I had so many Cabbage Patch dolls I loved and always got for Christmas and anything Barbie! I did get most toys I wanted growing up.

Cabbage Patch doll was my 'had to have' toy, too! I did get one, and she was well loved. :)

wow that cabbage patch bought back memories for me - not for me but buying them for my girls -
I used to love my barbie dolls - the house, the van, the pool - I loved everything barbie
I had my raggedy ann doll and I still love them and collect them even now
I wasn't much for playing with dolls. I loved my bike, tv and stereo though.
I usually got anything I asked for.

I remember really wanting a Mrs Beasley doll and I did get one for my birthday. :-)
