Welcome: The Henry Ford Estate
The Henry Ford Estate, former home of Henry Ford is just one of the many historical sites we have in Dearborn, The grounds are beautiful and the spring blooms have SPRUNG. We love wandering around the grounds and peeking at their gardens. We climbed up their stone staircase, and I daydream about what it might have been like to live in a mansion like this. We are so sad that the Estate will be closing for 3 years for renovation and the restaurant will not be reopening. We plan on visiting as much as we can until they close!
Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Ah! I was just going to blog about our upcoming trip to Michigan and there you are in Dearborn! I don't know if we will make it there or not yet. We are headed up the west coast and haven't decided whether to go west or east from the Soo. Can't wait to hear more of your Michigan landmarks :o) P.S. My husband would LOVE the Henry Ford estate AND the museum.
Great pictures...looks like a fun trip!

I'm so envious of people who have such cool historical landmarks by them! Everything out here in Az is pretty new.
How great you were able to get out to enjoy the day and the awesome mansion while you could!
Thanks for the tour! I love seeing different places like this, and your photos are gorgeous. :)
cool! that looks like a wonderful place to visit. And how nice that spring arrived so early this year..!
We drive through MI each summer to visit the in-laws in No Wisconsin... perhaps we'll have to take a detour to Dearborn!
Beautiful! That would be a great place to visit! Thanks for sharing. Found my way here from Just for the JOY and bc I'm a follower of your blog too.
Know another thing that brought me JOY today? My hubby just said he wanted to surprise me with one of your beautiful necklaces but couldn't decide which one so he wants me to order it myself. Hooray! Can't wait til this weekend when I can sit down and take a good look. Oh how hard it will be to choose! :)
Beautiful :)
