The Road Not Taken....

Every now and again Kane and I go for a walk just the two of us and this is our path, it always reminds me of the poem The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost. It is our path our time together where I think, about so many things and Kane well he just trots along and enjoys his walk... he is the best walking partner.

The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveller, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference

  5. I so totally love the poetry of Robert Frost. The first time that I even heard of him was in the movie The Outsiders. In the movie, Johnny (a greaser) finally understood the meaning of a poem just before he died. The poem goes like this: Nature's first green is gold
    Her hardest hue to hold.
    Her early leaf's a flower;
    But only so an hour.
    Then leaf subsides to leaf.
    So Eden sank to grief,
    So dawn goes down to day.
    Nothing gold can stay.
