Nutcrackers December 2008
Also stop on by my friend Amy's Keeping up with the Schultz Family for a fun Round Robin!I am very tempted to put up a few outdoor holiday decorations for Will's entertainment. I just can't bear to put up any decorations in the house yet, this is a bit too early if you ask me.
We usually put our tree up around Thanksgiving weekend.
We usually put our tree up around Thanksgiving weekend.
My husband put the lights up outside on Nov 1 (it was a nice day) but they haven't been turned on yet. He turns them on after the Santa Claus parade (this weekend). Inside decorations don't come out til Dec 1.
ReplyDeleteI'm in Canada so our thanksgiving was last month - otherwise I would think after that.
I usually put mine up after Thanksgiving. If you would like to come and add your giveaways to my Round Robin that would be great.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure my things will be going up within this next week!
ReplyDeleteSeems like every year I put up less and less, mostly because I hate putting it all away.

We usually do it the weekend after Thanksgiving or as soon as we have all the kids for the weekend.
ReplyDeleteWe begin decorating the day after Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteIf I had my way I would have my husband put up the Christmas Lights now. I wouldn't turn them on till after Thanksgiving. My husband says no Christmas Decorations until after December 1. LOL
ReplyDeleteI usually try to have the Christmas decorations going up the day after Thanksgiving but this year it will be later as we won't even be in the same state!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to start decorating for Christmas!!!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I have something for you on my blog.
I start any time after Dec. 1st!! And I don't play any Christmas music until the day AFTER Thanksgiving!! Happy Friday to all! P.S. Love your Etsy shop also!
ReplyDeleteNever too early LOL I put mine first week of December ;)
ReplyDeleteUsually the weekend after Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteI also like putting my decor up after thanksgiving and this year I just can't wait. it's my baby's second one. the first one she will have fun anyways :) I was actually just wondering that on my last post and would love some feedback :)
ReplyDeleteLiterally - am dreading the Christmas stuff!! I'm OCD about everything in ITS place!! My kids are already asking when can we put the "stuff" up. I never used to do anything until a week prior to Christmas. Last year we did it the weekend of Thanksgiving - which we will likely do again - but the mess - agh - the mess kills me!
ReplyDeleteHello, I am just sending out a little note asking some of the very sweet people that follow Ma21cuteboy for your help:( On November 17,2009 the March of Dimes is hosting a blog called UNITE Fight for Preemies, you can help by clicking the button on my blog and signing up,getting your own button, and blogging about a preemie that you may have, know, or know someone who knows, and donating to find a cause for God's Smallest Miracles.
ReplyDeleteThank you,
Chacoy
I am so ready but I have to wait until after dinner on Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteThat is when my husband and the adult men will put up my 9ft. very heavy tree.
We compromise every year... I like to put things up 'near' Thanksgiving but they have to stay up until after Jan 6th... DH doesn't like things up past 1/1... so instead we put things up 2 wks before Christmas and they stay up until after 1/6. But I won't buy decorations and whatnot in the stores untl the day after Thanksgiving...
ReplyDeleteIt's not too early. ;) It's usually so much work that its sad to have it up for only a short time. I always decorate December 1st but this year I think I will the day after T-giving.
ReplyDeleteFunny you mention that. I was driving my son to a sleepover last night and we saw like 20 houses fully decorated for Christmas. Lit up and everything! I was like "WAAAT?" Usually we do it the day before a big windstorm after thanksgiving . But whenever high winds are expected, lol.
ReplyDeleteWe decorate Thanksgiving weekend to get the most out of our decorations.
