From scratch or a box?


When you bake do you do it from scratch or from a box?

I am about 50/50 when I make brownies or chocolate chip cookies I always use the Ghirardelli mixes but when I bake other things I do it from scratch. If you haven't tried the Ghirardelli mixes they are irresistible.

  1. Cookies - always from scratch. Brownies are half & half but cakes are pretty much always from the box.

  2. It depends on what it is but I have nothing against box mixes they are easy and cheap and nice to have on hand for short notice. Ghiradelli brownies are good!

  3. Cookies: scratch. Brownies/cakes: box. You just can't get better than a boxed cake or brownie {in my humble opinion ;)}

  4. I definitely do both! Nothing beats homemade...but there isn't always time for homemade!

  6. Cookies and brownies always from scratch - sometimes I'll bake a cake from scratch, but cakes from a box are sometimes easier with time constraints. ;)

  8. In my country I bake from scratch. Here in the Us I mostly use box stuff or just don't bake.

  9. It depends on the amount of time that I have. I can definitely apprecdiate boxes and have nothing against them.

  11. I always bake cakes from scratch, I've never really done brownies or cookies, so might try a box first!
