Time to plant....

Every May I plant a lot of flowers, and I mean a lot of flowers. I have several flower boxes in the front of our house and many containers all over our backyard. This year I let Will pick out some of the flowers and he picked red geraniums and vinca vines for our front flower boxes. They are very RED and he loves them. I normally do petunia's with a variety of vines so this year is very different. To me an abundance of flowers makes a house a home.

Have you planted your annuals yet and if so what type of flowers do you plant?

  1. The wave petunias do really well for me in front of my house. I might have to do that again!

  2. The rule of thumb here is to not plant until after Mother's Day. Guess I'll be busy next week.

    Have a great Friday!

  4. No, we grow rocks, lots and lots of rocks. LOL
The previous owners took all the soil so we have a few containers but that's about it.

  8. I live in an apartment, so no place to have a garden aside from potted plants and such but they do not seem to do as well in a pot so I have not done any in a few years.

  9. We do not plant annuals. We put some other flowers in last year and a bunny ate them. Later on during the summer the same bunny came back and destroyed the bulbs and things. This year we are working on veggies and fruit in our indoor porch.

  10. They look fab in the Radio Flyer! I know they aren't permanently there, but I may find an old vintage Flyer around somewhere...Hmmmm...Thanks for the idea!

  13. I just planted today! I'll still have to cover them for the next week since it might be chilly this upcoming week, though. I planted petunias, pansies, begonias and impatiens.
