Aloha Friday: A show and tell and questions

Will's Gnome a.k.a. Dancy (no idea why but everything these days has to have a name)

I love flowers and the more the merrier, I also have a fondest for container gardening and every year my planters look a bit different. One of my favorite flowers is my Annabelle Hydrangea, if I had a really large yard I would line the perimeter with Annabelle's. I don't know the names of most of my plants but if I plant it and it does well then I buy more of that same plant! One day I want to take a gardening class so I know exactly what to do w/ my clippers.

I hope you enjoy my pictures of my flowers.

My questions for you are:

Do you like Gnomes?

Do you have a green thumb?

  1. Nope, don't care much for gnomes, and absolutely don't have a green thumb.

  2. I wish I had a green thumb...

I like gnomes, we have a stone one in our garden from the previous owners that I actually love but I probably wouldn't go buy one at a store...

  3. I think gnomes are cute...but I have no green thumb. I don't much like being outside and hate the heat and bugs. :)

I love working in our garden, one part of the back yard is all flowers the other is veggies and fruits, and front yard is all in flowers :)

  7. I think gnomes are kind of whimsical and fun but I don't have any of them. I have a black thumb. I wish I was good in the garden but I am weak, weak, weak.

  8. I'm not a fan of gnomes, or any kind of garden figurines really. But if I were to pick one I think I'd pick yours! He is pretty cute!

I have discovered a love of gardening, just this year! So I think it's a big premature to say I have a green thumb, but if I do it's only because I inherited it. My mom and grandmother both have VERY green thumbs! I always thought they were super boring, but now I'm always calling them with questions about plants and things.

  9. Gnomes are cool, although I never had one. I have a green thumb for vegetables, we have luck with that every year, but not for any other kind of plants.

  10. I am very impartial about gnomes. I don't have any. I definitely do not have a green thumb - need to work on my gardening skills!

  13. I love love love your wall of 'stuff'! Very very cool! Nice container garden(s). We have a couple gnomes. I think they are cute. But I have a brown thumb. Sometimes I just 'look' at my plants and they die...lol. But my husband has a nice green thumb and brings what I kill back, lol

  14. I LOVE gnomes, I have one too. I also remember Will's Gnome, assuming you're talking about the one from Will and Grace that Will had since he was a kid and Grace smashed into smithereens. I think that they bring a little bit of magic to every garden.

  15. I like any thing the deer won't eat. I'm pretty sure they'll leave the gnomes alone.
