This picture was taken in June of 2006. Will was just around 7 months old, and I have on my favorite jean jacket which leads to my question.
Question: What is the oldest item in your closet that you still wear and hope to wear forever???
Mine clearly is this jean jacket, I have had it for about 6 years, which is a very long time for me and I still love it. Even though I have about 5 other jean jackets this is by far my favorite, I think I got my money's worth on this purchase!

i have a shirt from my first Cure concert when i was 13! ok, i don't really wear it, but i did wear it again when i saw them @ ages 23 and 33. maybe i'll wear it again if i get to see them when i'm 43, just for traditions sake.

ReplyDeleteI have a tweed suit that I adore--it goes in & out of style, but seems to always come back once in awhile--some years the skirt is too small, then I'll just wear the jacket with jeans:) Cute pic with baby!

ReplyDeleteI have a soft sweater from JCrew that I bought in college (15 years ago...jeez, has it been that long??) It's so soft and snuggly and still one of my favorite things to reach for in the Winter.
Great jacket! I have a skirt that's maybe 11 years old, I don't know that I want to wear it forever, but so far it's gotten a lot of use and still looks good. The question is, will I still fit in it after baby #3...
ReplyDeleteI don't think I have anything quite that old...oh wait, I do have Calvin Klein sweatshirt from high school...it has holes in it but I love it! So that makes it 10-12 years old.

ReplyDeleteLove the jean jacket! Mine is my blue speedo flip flops :) I think they have been around for about 6 yrs or so...they are so comfy! I love Speedo as a former swimmer...hmmm, maybe it's me just not wanting to let go of the idea of being an athlete way long ago? Must be a psychological connection! Or maybe not, maybe it's just cuz I am too lazy to put on a pair that actually need tied. Ha!

I love that picture of you!!! I think I have that same jean jacket LOL!! Actually I HAD a favorite that would never ever been thrown away. It was a pink John Deere tank top that my SIL got me for my birthday 3 yrs ago and it said Country Girl on it. But when I had my horse accident I was wearing it and they took me into the trauma team before I could scream NOOOO they cut it off into shreads :( I also was wearing that jean jacket but luckily they took that off of me before I got to the 2nd hospital LOL!!

oh this is so funny - I don't keep stuff around too long . . . out with the old is my motto . . . I have some old stuff (wedding dress, maternity clothes) but I don't think I have anything old that I still wear.
