New in my shop!! The Peace Dove

I just fell in love with this sweet peace dove so I had to make a necklace! The Peace Dove necklace is available at http://www.klacustomcreations.etsy.com If you love this make sure you get it soon since I have very limited quantities.
The symbol of peace and the word peace means many different things to people. I stumbled across this quote and thought I would share it.
" Peacefulness is an inner sense of calm - it comes from becoming still - in order to reflect and meditate on our inner wisdom and receive answers. A peaceful heart is one that is free from worry and trouble. It's becoming quiet so we can look at things quietly so we can more clearly understand them and thus come up with creative solutions. It is learning to live in the present."

What brings you peace??

My Big Cousin

Author: Sharon Froese

We're sitting together

My big cousin and me

She tells me stories

As I sit on her knee

I tell her things, too

In my own special way

And she understands

All the words I can't say

I'm happy as can be

As I'm up on her knee

Just sitting together

My big cousin and me

Family picture...

I will have to admit I spent far more time creating this than I should have. But will say it was a lot of fun. You can create your own at http://www.becomeanmm.com/
Will picked out all of his features, he wanted to be orange and had to have a guitar like Daddy.

The amazing things kids say...

The other day I heard Will talking to Kane. I came into the living room and saw this and heard him say "Kane I wuv you!" I asked Will what he said and he said, "nothing mommy". It was so cute he got all shy about telling Kane he loved him.

Yesterday he was standing on our chair and all I said was his name and he said this ,"I know sit down, be careful." I had to laugh!

It just shows that they really do listen to us from time to time!

Happy Easter....

This is as close as we got to the Easter Bunny. Will was so excited to go see the Easter Bunny and then when we got there he put his head on my shoulder and said "No Eater Bunny today". Maybe next year he will like the Easter Bunny. Like Father like Son, every picture of his Dad with either the Easter Bunny or Santa he is screaming in it! In this picture Will is watching his best friend Grace sitting on the Easter Bunny's lap.
Even watching Grace sit on the Easter Bunny's lap couldn't get him to do it! Happy Easter to all!

Why do you feel blessed?

Why do you feel blessed? I feel blessed for many reasons but here are just a few:

I feel blessed to have my son Will. Every time I see him laughing and screaming in pure delight it makes me feel so good!

I am blessed to have a supportive husband who helps me with my business whenever I ask.

I feel blessed to have a supportive family and such great friends.

I feel blessed to be able to do what I love and still stay home with Will.

I am blessed to have good health!

Why do you feel blessed?

I think we have many reasons we are blessed but sometimes we need to take stock and just remind ourselves.

The "I Am Blessed" necklace is available at http://www.klacustomcreations.etsy.com/

Angel Blessing

Isn't this the sweetest Angel! I purchased this at Etsy of course at http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5158223. Laurie is the shop owner of Through the Looking Glass and made this custom for me. I gave this to my mom as a birthday present and she loved it. Take a look at Laurie's shop she has some wonderful stained glass pieces. Not only do I sell on Etsy but I do my share of purchasing. You have to reward yourself from time to time for working hard!

Just a reminder

Just a reminder that March's featured group is MI-Regap. Regap as I have said before is a wonderful group that rescues retired greyhounds. You have to read the story on Igor http://rescuedgreyhounds.com/getinvolved/igor2.html This is just one example of some of the great work they do. A lot of people really aren't aware of what happens to greyhounds once they stop racing usually around 3 years old!!! There are so many greyhounds that need good homes desperately. Please visit http://www.rescuedgreyhounds.com/to learn more about adopting a hound for yourself!
When we are out walking Kane people stop us and ask us if Kane was rescued and we always make sure we tell them about greyhounds and how they too can rescue a greyhound.
For every "Hound Lover" necklace and "Hound Lover" key chain purchased at http://www.klacustomcreations.etsy.com10% of the proceeds will be donated to MI-Regap!

Live UR Life Now!

You gotta ask yourself are you living in the here and now? Far to often we all keep saying " I will do this in the future" or we save things for a "special occasion". I say do something today that you are putting off or pull that thing that you have been saving for a "special occasion" out and wear it or use it! Live UR Life!
Don't put it off until tomorrow you have to live your life now! Let this necklace be a reminder to live in the now.

The letters will not line up perfectly and are not meant to this is part of the charm that makes your piece one of a kind. No two pieces will ever be exactly the same. The letters have been oxidized/antiqued to make them stand out it will appear to be aged or slightly tarnished but has been given a good polish.

Does this bring back memories?

The Dukes of Hazzard was one of my favorite shows when I was a kid. I remember watching it every Friday night along with Dallas and Falcon Crest. The other night my husband came home with this car for Will. Will liked it so much he took it to bed with him. This car even makes some great Dukes noises. Just a side note during the summer The General Lee was on exhibit at The Henry Ford and it said it is owned by Kid Rock. I thought that was pretty cool!

This is a typical scene

This is a typical scene in our house. It usually looks like a toy store exploded. It is amazing what a little one can do when you are in the shower. It is 50 degrees today which is so nice we got to play outside and create a mess outside instead of inside!

Have you seen these guys???

Lately Will is so into Max and Ruby. Have you seen these guys? It is a cute show about a brother and sister. Max is usually getting in trouble and Ruby is always taking care of him. The one strange thing about the show is that there is never any parents around and these guys ride the bus, explore town, go swimming, camping you name it. If you can't find it on tv Target has a few of their videos. As you can see Will had to have the Max and Ruby dolls. Check out it is a cute show.

Daylight savings time....

Gosh who would know moving the clocks forward an hour would be such a big deal. Well when you have a toddler it is! First we were late for gymnastics since we just couldn't get out the door and then Will went down for his nap at 3pm! Well it will probably take a week to get use to the new time change. I can't wait to see what time he goes to bed! :) At least it will now stay light out until after 7pm!

Thank Goodness for Tumbling!

Will has so much fun at gymnastics. It gives him an opportunity to run around with his friends and learn a few new moves, well coach Diane tries! The thing he likes the best is trying to unscrew the equipment! It is so nice to have a place for him to run around we are just a little sick of winter!

The Featured group for March is......

MI-Regap!!! MI-Regap is a wonderful group dedicated to rescuing Greyhounds. Several years ago we lost our Dalmatian to cancer and decided that we really wanted to rescue a greyhound. We looked at many different rescue groups but were so impressed with the dedication this group had to finding good homes for their dogs. They spent a lot of care interviewing us to make sure we would provide a good home for Kane. I was always impressed with the greyhound breed and the more I learned about how cruel their treatment was during the racing days the more I realized we had to rescue a greyhound. Kane really is a gentle giant! He does sleep a lot but has become such an important part of our family, just make sure you aren't sitting on his bed because that he doesn't share with anyone.
Please take a look at MI-Regaps website http://rescuedgreyhounds.com/to see more about the wonderful work they do.
